Thanks to the generosity of Washtenaw County residents and businesses, The Salvation Army provides valuable programs such The Veteran's Haven of Hope and the Staples Family Center, which are both shelters in our county. Rent assistance, utility assistance, emergency food baskets, disater relief, couseling, after school character building progams and Sunday worship services are also provided at our community centers.

During the holidays families receive gifts, clothing, food and other items which have been donated to our Christmas Distribution. Last year The Salvation Army of Washtenaw County assisted over 500 families during the holiday season.
